Hello There! My name is Chetna and I wanted to write about something near and dear to my heart…FOOD!! But not just any type of food, I want to talk about the foods that represent peoples heritage, culture, family – all type of International cuisines! There are so many wonderful dishes, and styles of food out there that you can literally have the same dish twice and it will taste different depending on the person or place that makes it! And you know what? THAT is a beautiful thing!

I am North Indian, Gujarati, to be exact and brought up on my moms amazing foods. Actually – in my mind, there is nothing better out there than my mom’s cooking. From her hot rotli’s to her curries to her desserts and homemade pickles – she is the epitome of amazing home cooking. :O) (She’s in heaven now cooking with all the angels and I’m sure she’s serving up some incredible meals to everyone else with her.) It’s because of her, that I have a desire to cook and do the best I can to re-create all different type of food specialties. I currently teach Indian cooking classes and private lessons, where we take many traditional Indian dishes and make them easier to prepare for the everyday cook. Our student chefs learn how to make Indian food with simpler steps, and without sacrificing any flavor. It’s been a really great experience sharing my recipes and cooking with different people in all our classes…it’s all fun!

I want to dedicate this blog to all the wonderful foods out there and the deliciousness available in each region of the world! Food, as in many cultures, is an incredible way to bring people together, make new friends and reconnect. In this blog, I look forward to trying different International cuisines & restaurants wherever I can, and letting you all know which dishes are best, which places I recommend and everything else food-related!

Lets see which places can come close to my mom’s cooking! :O)
